The main objective of the project is to shut down the GBS system with CBS taking over the billing of GBS customers. The Goal of the GBS IT Rationalization project is to enhance Case Definition Facility (CDF)-Mainframe System, Unified Inforce System (UIS)- Mainframe System and CBS – so that the existing business on GBS can be moved to CBS. In addition to the enhancements for CDF, UIS and CDF, a Rate Mapping and Premium Calculator Service need to be implemented to replace the rate mapping and premium calculation functionality in GBS. The Rate Mapping Service and Premium Calculator Service – collectively called as the Billing Integration Hub – will also serve as the communication hub between UIS, CDF and CBS.

Responsibilities:

 Worked as the lead developer and worked in all the modules of the project (Gather, Process and Emit).

 Design of process module and design by using modeler.

 Coding of Flow services using webMethods developer.

 Writing java classes to implement business logic like premium calculation, benefit amount calculation etc using WSAD.

The main objective of the project is to convert existing SRD II architecture to the new SRD III architecture. The focus of this project is to provide an interface between the RPS and Remittance Suspense (RS) systems. Service Request Director (SRD) is engaged to capture and reformat RPS data and feed that data to the RS application. RPS will create a Remote Stored Procedure that will be invoked by SRD at regular timed intervals (or by some other mechanism).

The end user system can subscribe to the portal details xml document, which contains all the table details of the portal and end user system will parse the XML and portal screen will be rendered to the end user.
