• Agency and Reliability lead in new product development
• Prepared and maintained Underwriter Laboratories (UL), Intertek (ETL), and National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) reports
• Key contact person for follow up service for the agencies. (UL, ETL, and NSF)
• Never penalized during the follow up service process.
• Created and modified electrical and safety informational labels for the products
• Performed agency pre-testing for ice machines and bins to ensure the machines complied with energy requirements. (UL 563 safety, Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) 810 and 820 energy)
• Organized and provided oversight for mandatory equipment testing by an independent agency representative to determine the performance and safety of equipment to be sold.
• Organized, managed, performed and analyzed reliability testing. Evaluated tech sheet results for plus or minus variances of metal sheets. Adjusted pinch rollers and switch sheet metal parts that resulted in better tolerance of the metals. As a result, reliability readings increased from 99.2% reliability to 99.7% in a 7 month period on the ISB360 bagging machine.
• Validated the use of different materials such as galvanized metal versus stainless steel making the products more cost effective.
• Initiated, structured and documented the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) process to identify necessary changes needed for existing products and products in the design phase.
• Assisted in modification of design plans for the ice machines and ISB360 bagging machine.
