- Fostered the reproduction of Eastern Lubber Grasshoppers (Romalea microptera) through healthy feedings, clean environments, and aiding their birthing processes.
- Injected several isolated adult grasshoppers with Encephalitozoon microsporidia parasites.
- Treated the parasitic grasshoppers with four different antimicrobial treatments pasted onto their food in the attempt to come closer to a cure for Malaria.
- Dissected each grasshopper to examine if their inner core still contained a trace amounts of the parasites.
*A thorough report of the analysis was then submitted to the Parasitology International journal (Volume 57, Issue 3, September 2008, Pages 362–367)

- Utilized analytical instruments such as an atomic absorption spectrometer, a refractometer, an infrared spectrometer, an ultraviolet/visible spectrometer, in addition to several others to measure the chemical properties of several different substances.
- Conceived and organized the implementation of an independent project through which an original chemical analysis was done and presented in an American Chemical Society symposium.
*A cosmetic research experiment in which the trace analysis of the lead composition in lipsticks were tested using an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, noting a variation of brand, price, and color.
