Benefits: Administers company-wide health and welfare and retirement plan programs (e.g., medical, dental, vision, life/ADD, EAP, FSA, LTD, STD, Profit Sharing & 401(k) Retirement Plan etc.) Acts as a liaison between employee, insurance carriers and benefit agency broker to resolve problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations. Assist with COBRA administration, workers compensation, and safety/security programs. Processes required documents (e.g., enrollments, qualifying event changes, terminations, etc.) through Corporate Payroll to ensure accurate record keeping, proper deductions, claims resolution, change reporting, invoicing and communicating benefit information to employees. Ensures plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and plan provisions.

Employee Relations: Provides or arranges for assistance to employees/managers (e.g., responds to inquires covering a variety of topics including, but not limited to benefits, compensation, employment, employee relations, employee services, labor relations, payroll, worker’s compensation, and related areas; researches and resolves issues; conducts recruitment; prepares and distributes approved employee communications materials; arranges and conducts orientations). Developing, implementing, administering and communication HR policies, procedures, practices and programs in collaboration with management and location HR. Conducts new employee orientations and benefits orientation for employees assigned to location, including hourly, exempt, managerial and executive personnel.

Employment: Developing, implementing, administering and communicating employment programs in compliance with company policies and equal employment opportunity regulations in collaboration with management and location HR. Forecast staffing requirements, advertises vacancies, sources, screens, interviews and solicits references on candidates; arranges pre-placement tests and conducts new employee orientations. Coordinates use of temporary labor, outplacement and exit processes.

Compensation: Developing, implementing, administering and communicating compensation programs in accordance with company philosophy, policies, procedures, practices and programs, including base pay (e.g., merit, equity, and promotion), variable compensation, recognition programs, and performance appraisals. Analyzes jobs and prepares job profiles. Provides consultative advice, as appropriate.

Payroll: Process all functions/actions on payroll issues and practices. Prepares and processes all payrolls according to requirements and schedule. Processes a variety of paperwork such as payroll transactions, insurance forms, changes in employee status, pay increases, etc. in accordance with specific payroll instructions and procedures.

Training: Develop, conduct and/or arranges training sessions of a general and specialized nature and prepares training tools and materials as needed. Recommends self-study, on-the-job, company provided and external training and development opportunities to management and employees. Collaborates with management and location HR to execute training and development strategies.

Record keeping: Reporting & Analysis: Analyze, interpret and report data. Maintains, prepares, tracks and processes employee related records and documents (e.g., creates and maintains files; places recruitment advertising; tracks and reports EEO data; process new hire, change of status, termination, wage and salary adjustments, benefits transactions; performance appraisal transactions; recommends and implements approved process improvements). Collects, organizes, tracks and analyzes data for inclusion in standard and ad hoc reports. Prepares and distributes reports as needed. Maintains, prepares, tracks and processes finance related records and documents (e.g., creates and maintains files; collects, prepares reviews and processes expense reports; collects, reviews, prepares and processes accounts payable transactions; assists with budget tracking and reconciliation).

General Administration: Provides or arranges for the delivery of general office services (e.g., answers, screens and routes telephone inquires; prepares and distributes correspondence, presentations, and promotional or other business related materials; maintains filing systems; makes travel arrangements; orders supplies and equipment). Coordinates, schedules and performs standard and ad hoc special project efforts (e.g., coordinates company, employee and meeting events; updates and distributes approved changes to policy, procedure, recruitment, training or other similar reference documents/manuals; retirement plan censes reports). Attend, coordinate, facilitate, and/or participate in meetings. Represent company and regulatory hearings, investigations and legal proceedings.
