As the Manager of Human Resources, Safety and Labor Relations for Chart Heat Exchangers, a collective bargaining organization, located in La Crosse, WI. I have developed, and implemented human resources policies to meet organizational needs and compliance with state and federal laws. Conducted compensation market surveys to assess the relationship to current organizational compensation plans and determine if pay adjustments should be made. Represented management in negotiating collective bargaining agreements. In addition, I have prepared, scheduled, and conducted training on human resources and safety related topics throughout the organization. Conduct monthly safety audits of facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, to determine corrective or preventative measures as needed. Conduct investigations of accidents and injuries to determine preventative actions necessary. Implemented a time and attendance system that had a return on investment of over $250,000 annually.
As the Director of Human Resources and Corporate Safety at Halcon Corporation, I negotiated and administered all benefits for the company. Developed a recruiting strategy that increased the quality of prospective employees, which ultimately, decreased the turnover rate by 40%. Implemented a plant-wide safety incentive program that resulted in a 25% drop in recordable accidents over a 12-month period.
As Business/Human Resources Manager of CornerHouse researched and implemented effective cost saving strategies; identified and secured new vendors; negotiated reduced prices on supplies and equipment; initiated and implemented effective invoicing system and new database. Efforts resulted in a $70,000 cost savings within first seven months.
Selected by Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff as primary liaison between U.S. Armed Forces in Saudi Arabia and the United States for emergency evacuation of 3000 family members.
