Room Temperature Ferro-magnetism in ZnO Thin films. ( 15 May-26 July 2010. )

Materials with novel combinations of properties such as room temperature ferromagnetism and semi conductive properties are required for spintronic devices. Thin ZnO films were grown by

Pulsed Laser Deposition technique to check the room temperature Magnetic behavior. We carried out SQUID measurements and also investigated the magneto transport properties of these samples.

B.Tech Project, Metallurgical and Materials Engg. Department, IIT Roorkee Studies on Thermal Cycling of Medium – Plain - Carbon Steel

( August 2010-May 2011 )

The steel has been imparted heat treatment in which the cylindrical specimen is subjected to thermal cycling about the eutectoid temperature using Gleeble -3800. The resulting change in microstructure and properties is then examined. Mechanical properties ,fracture surface as also studied..

Synthesis and characterization of Hexaferrite Nano particles for Microwave Absorbtion Applications ( May-June 2009 )

I assisted a senior research scholar in this project, in this we synthesized strontium hexaferrite nano particles by sol gel method under varying conditions. Then we characterized these Nanoparticles.
