RELATED PROJECTS:
• Remote Test Configure Tool
Description: Developed an application which accepts a set of source code files from the clients, build any source code into libraries, and schedule the configuration for execution on some, possibly remote test server, and finally, after tests it retrieves logs associated with the submitted configuration file. Environment: C#.NET, MS VisualStudio2008 and XML
• Credit-Timeshare Scheduler in FreeBSD (UNIX)
Description: Edited source code (C Language) of FreeBSD operating system and modified the Process Scheduling algorithms to achieve user-defined performance. Implemented Scheduler which will support different Time-Quantum based on the user. It chooses the next thread to be executed based on the Credit value set by the root user rather than the priority value.
• Virtual Memory Management in FreeBSD (UNIX)
Description: Edited source code (C Language) of FreeBSD operating system and modified the Paging algorithms to implement Not Frequently Used with Aging. Implemented various tests on Memory Mapping of FreeBSD, compared to theory and derived conclusions.
• The Nut Shell
Description: Developed a UNIX Shell called the Nut Shell in C using LEX and YACC for FreeBSD. The Nut shell is programmed to execute all the commands as that of a normal UNIX shell like ‘ls’, ’grep’, ‘chdir’, ‘dir’, etc with various options and also supports Pipeline.
• Redundant Data Gathering On Personal Information Management System
Description: Everyone fills various forms in their lifetime, and each time the user provides more or less the same information, which results in data redundancy. Our intention was to provide a solution to reduce the redundant data and to provide an interface where a user can convert his information into various applicable forms by just one click. Environment: C#.NET, MS SQL
• Telecom And Wireless Protocol Development
Description: I was trained on the following Communication technologies - SS7 signaling and Architecture, Cellular technology , GSM , GPRS , CDMA , UMTS , Networking , Session and Call Control Protocols , Session initiation protocol(SIP) and Telecom testing.
I have implemented a SIP protocol development project using C and C++ as part of this training.
• ATM And Quality Of Service
Description: Created a Wide Area Network that spans from a subnet at one place to a subnet at another and then Compared Voice and Video application performance by running simulations in an OPNET Model under various Quality of Service (QoS) parameters in an ATM network.
