OBJECTIVE
Seeking an entry level engineering position in wireless communication areas
EDUCATION
1.MS in Electrical Engineering, Louisiana State University (LSU),
Baton Rouge, LA, Aug. 2011
In-Major GPA: 3.63/4.00 Overall GPA 3.55/4.00
Related Course work: Random Processing, Digital Communications, Wireless Communication Networks, Detection and Estimation Theory, Multi-rate Signal Processing and Filter Banks, VLSI Design, Linear Circuits Design, Optimization
(1)Research Project: “Implementation of a Wireless Sensor Network with eZ430-RF2500 Development Tools and MSP430FG4618/F2013 Experimenter Boards from Texas Instruments” Sep. 2010-Aug. 2011
Implemented a sensor network with hierarchical architecture for monitoring temperatures throughout a building
Designed the network using TI board with multiple access protocols such as channelization and polling scheme
Programmed to perform the channelization and polling scheme with the TI boards in C++
Applied the low-power feature of the TI microcontroller and transceiver (Wake-On-Radio) to fulfill the requirement of energy efficiency
(2)Class Project: “Cognitive Radio Networks”
Analyzed the balance among the circle exclusive zone, the power of the Cognitive User, and the distance between the Primary User and the Cognitive User to fulfill all the requirements of the network at the same time
Improved the performance of the network by decreasing the outage probability of Primary User, with the power of Cognitive User decreased a circle exclusive zone set for Primary User
Improved the performance of the network by decreasing the missing detection probability of Primary User, with the distance between the Primary User and the Cognitive User shortened
(3)Class Project: “Prediction for Energy Detection of Unknown Signal”
Investigated the energy detection for deterministic signals transmitted over a flat band-limited Gaussian noise channel, and for information- bearing signal and noise processes with arbitrary spectra in the paper “ Performance Prediction for Energy Detection of Unknown Signals”
Deduced the equations for probabilities of false detection and missing detection with parameters of window length, detection threshold, and signal-to-noise ratio
Processed the numerical results with MATLAB
(4)Class Project: “Dual-tone Multi-frequency (DTMF) Decoder”
Implemented the decoder to show the numbers that are dialed from the tones made by the dialing
Designed the decoder with bandpass filters to separate the information of the tone in different frequencies, lowpass filters to get the DC signal and the comparator to decide the present of the signal in specific frequency
Programmed to complete the decoder with MATLAB in C++
