Engineering Technician
Performed and managed all project related CAD duties for commercial, retail, and residential site development projects. Worked directly with the team Project Managers and Engineers to ensure a seamless transition between the design and production drawings. Researched municipal and client specific design standards for application to individual projects. Reviewed comments from Agencies, Clients and Architects against construction plans and reported results to the Project Manager. Assisted in horizontal and vertical layouts of underground utilities, including gravity storm water, sanitary sewer and force main systems. Took a proactive role in learning new software for the benefit of our overall division, including AutoCAD Civil 3D. Assisted senior Designers and Engineers in CAD related issues.

Duties at a minimum included assisting engineers with innovative designs for large commercial developments using maps, internet, aerial photography, site development codes and engineering manuals to draw, design or develop a complete set of construction plans, maps and exhibits for civil/ site infrastructure including drainage, grading, roadway and utility projects. This involved coordinating with engineers to work out preliminary phase concerns into solutions suitable for construction. Furthermore, using spreadsheets to determine design criteria. Duties also entailed plan preparation, aesthetics and coordinating with local agencies for questions related to permitting as well as coordinating with the client to meet their demands and better service the businesses needs or purpose.

Window Framer
Duties included installing windows for residential new construction using a high powered nail gun This required adding felt paper with a heavy duty stapler, caulk with a caulk gun and balancing as well as troubleshooting every opening in order to achieve quality workmanship. In addition, I would use a reciprocating saw to cut the excess of sill plate remaining at the door openings
