PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
PROCESS ENGINEER ~ 2007–2010
Hallmark Engineers, Inc., Atlanta, GA
CONTRACTOR, Pulp and Paper Mill ~ Georgia Pacific, Palatka, FL
~ Paper Mill Water System Study and Design
Recorded and updated safety library. Utilized WinGEMS, AutoCAD, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagram Files to ensure mill’s water system balance. Conceptualized and developed a WinGEMS model with adherence to mill regulations.
~ Propane Study
Initiated and executed a project for an alternative propane storage solution for the mill, focusing on providing a safer design to minimize excessive blast radius.
~ Reverse Osmosis Study
Conducted an extended water system study and provided comprehensive analysis on the RO system, which included WinGEMS model modification in order to verify correspondence of data on the field with the model. Ensured proper functioning of all water input and output. Executed mill checking and coordinated accurate documentation of capacity, rating, temperature, and pressure.
CONTRACTOR, Solar Tower Project ~ Chevron, Coalinga, CA / BrightSource, Coalinga, CA
~ Motor Control Center Study and Design
Supervised full spectrum of design, layout, wiring, and electrical diagrams for MCC Room using ETAP and AutoCAD, based on Chevron specifications and guidelines. Assumed the role of electrical engineer in overseeing the design and estimation of electrical wire trays.
~ Tank and Vessel Study and Design
Developed a pilot plant using renewable energy. Assessed various vessels and piping of the solar tower plant. Utilized Flow in conducting various pressure studies to size and price plant’s equipment, as well as to guarantee full compliance with Chevron specifications.
ACADEMIC SHOWCASE
~ Teamed up with Filler Research Group under the supervision of Dr. Michael Filler to develop a highly effective solar cell with efficiency of 80% or above. Worked on acquiring the self-assembly of nanowires of various materials to effectively control the composition of the solar cell, in the hope of generating new materials.
~ Handled the creation process of new material using nanowires to manufacture multijunction cells at a high volume while maintaining lower manufacturing costs.
~ Enhanced the method of grafting polymer on Si nanowires in order to exploit the "polymer-polymer" interaction, obtaining self-assembly to produce nanowire “mats”.
OTHER POSITIONS HELD
BUSINESS CONSULTANT ~ Dun & Bradstreet, Kennesaw, GA
TECHNICAL SALESPERSON ~ Office Depot, Atlanta, GA
EDUCATION
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENGINEERING, MAJOR IN CHEMICAL AND BIOMOLECULAR ENGINEERING: 2010
Georgia Institute of Technology ~ Atlanta, GA
