Task: Controls the Operation of Escalator by use of 8051 micro controller using C and Assembly language. Action: Operates on the input to sensor & stops as per the timing set, if the sensor detects a second input mean while the escalator is running then it resets the timer and starts again.

Result: Fully automated system, Ease of operation, Low initial and running cost, Energy efficient. Increase in energy saving by 99%.

Universal Power Supply/Electrical Engineering (2009)

Task: 0-440v AC/DC with a single phase supply set-up to test the laboratory and heavy engineering machines.

Action: Varying AC and DC voltages from 0-440v as output. Test the heavy machines with a single phase supply.

Result: No need of different supply requirement for various small equipment and machines. A single set-up can be used to test all single phase and three phase machines (load). Used in rural areas where carrying out a three phase line is a challenging problem.

Revitalizing CNC Machines I (2010)

Task: Stick-slip friction had a great influence on contouring accuracy of CNC machine tools.

Action: A simple control strategy is used to tune the control loop gain for contouring error due to stick-slip friction using mat lab.

Results: Improved performance in stick slip friction by 98%, steady state output and reduced power consumption is shown.

Revitalizing CNC Machines II (2011)

Task: Upgrading the control system and new algorithm to enhance existing features with new technology.

Action: A computer based controller using open source CNC software based on LINUX.

Results: Increase the accuracy by 81%, controls the movement of the axes manually with variable speed.
