My responsibilities as a Data Engineer/Geologist are to carry out these tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

GEOLOGICAL MONITORING:

DRILL CUTTINGS

Dry samples, Wet samples, Thin section samples, Packing of sample, Calcimetry of samples, Shale factor and shale density of samples

CORE SAMPLES

Collect of core, Marking and measuring of core, Packing of core, Description of core, Examine of core, Collect or supervise the collection of cutting samples from the proper lag depths and at the proper intervals. Wash and screen samples, devoid them into correct portion and then by sets for client, partner and trade. Examine and describe samples as per oil industry standards and client specifications. Evaluate samples for hydrocarbon shows.

LOGS:

Prepare Formation Evaluation log, Drilling log, Mud log, and Pressure log, establish an accurate and comprehensive Formation evaluation log as per client’s format, Provide all interested parties with regular and timely reports based on geological and drilling data. Notify well site personnel of any anticipated or observed drilling problems related to geology. Assist in core recovery and description when needed. Assist in Well Test operations and sampling when needed.

DRILLING PARAMETERS

Check bore hole pressure, well head pressure, Depth, Temperature of hole, Resistivity, Torque

Weight on hook, Weight on bit, Pits levels, Gain loss record, closely monitor drilling parameters, and reports any anomalies appropriate persons, for action.

GAS PARAMETERS:

Calibration of gas instruments, Check level of degassed, Nature of gas, Chromatography, Total gas, Close monitoring of poisonous gas, Inform rig-working personals on tome by H2s gas, which is fatal for person. Closely monitor gas levels, lag time and report any anomalies to the appropriate person, for action.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SENSORS

Draw works, Pump sensor, Torque sensor, De gasser, H2S sensor, and Resistivity sensor, Temperature in/out sensor, Mud weight in/out sensor, Weight on hook sensor, Perform regular and frequent calibration checks of gas instruments. Perform normal maintenance and necessary repair on all equipment, particularly sensors, and report breakdowns immediately to the appropriate persons. Annotate daily instrument charges clearly and correctly, and organize them for later use by client.

PRESSURE DEDUCTION AND ENGINEERING SERVICES

Lithological interpretations. Raw and corrected D-Exponent. Trend Data, Calculation, Coefficient. Penetration rate, Mud Weight / ECD, Total Gas / Connection Gas / Trip Gas / Background Gas. Pertinent engineering data such as Bit data / Casing Shoe / LOT / RFT data, Calculated Formation pressure /

Fracture Gradient. Torque / Over pull and Drag. Penetration rate. Standpipe pressure, Differential calculation of pressure loss. Flow rate / Torque. Pertinent engineering data such as bit data / Casing shoe / LOT / RFT data, Active Pit Volumes / Mud Loss.

REPORTING

To Update all logs requested by client, on a daily basis. Submit daily reports concerning geological and drilling parameters to the client representatives, as well as any other requested reports or documents. Hydraulic report, Weekly report, Monthly report, Final well report

At the end of the well, hand over all the data to company representative.

SPECIAL TRAINING

Radioactive source handling, radioactive safety for logging supervisor, basic concept in down hole surveying, basic concept in formation evaluation,
