 PROJECT DETAILS: Attendance record system using RF-ID and Biometric module

Overview

The purpose behind this project is to build up a security system that will provide a two way authentication to the users.

In the first part, the username is read by the RFID reader and is serially sent to the kit. The user’s name will be verified by the database at the client side. User will be provided with a RFID-card having his username stored in it. He will scan the card and the reader will read his username and it is then displayed on its LCD display. This username is serially received and it is then displayed on its LCD display. User credentials are passed through the server and then only the user is allowed to proceed to the next stage. Once the system has identified that it is a valid user, it will then ask for the fingerprint. If it matches the fingerprint to the one that is stored then only it will record the person’s attendance.

APPLICATION

 It can be used in schools, colleges and office buildings

 By adding additional features it can be used in banks, industries, Keeping secure defence records, etc.

 To check in and out of the main gate, to both track attendance and prevent unauthorized entrance.
