• Participate in the R&D of the supermarket wireless intelligent network based on Zigbee technique (IEEE802.15.4).

• Design PCB wireless communication boards which are used to pick up the analog sensor signal using the UART/SPI port and deliver it to the POS server via ISM radio bands. The chipsets of CC24xx & CC25xx @Texas Instrument, the PCB IFA antenna, the SMD antenna and the Balun design are involved.

Graduate Research Assistant, RF-Microwave Research Lab 09/2005 - 03/2009

• Conduct research on the Active Antenna Oscillators -- a series of active antenna oscillators based on HBT NE58219 transistors have been designed and fabricated with printed circuit board (PCB). These oscillators were tested to work very well at 1.8 GHz in an Anechoic chamber.

• Develop a two-stage LNA at 2.4 GHz using techniques of MOSFETs and PCB, and measure characterizations of Gain, Noise Figure and P1dB using RF measurement instruments.

• Assemble an automatic test equipment (ATE) network, including instruments of RF signal generators, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, etc. It is controlled by HP VEE program.

• Design a receiver working at 1MHz including LNA, down-conversion Mixer, Low-Pass Filter (LPF), IF Amplifier and A/D Converter (ADC) using MAGIC and HSPICE.
