Designed and configured screens, scripted dialogs, and lifecycles for version 10.2 and 10.4; trained in house admin on all aspects of Planview functionality. Set up all project plans for PMs, alternate structures and column sets for work and resource features. Built out the Strategy structure and linked all projects to programs for rolling up to strategic objectives. Configured version 10.4 for upgrade to SaaS environment, developed custom user guides, developed training curriculum for project managers and resource managers.

Planview Administrator – 5/2011 – 6/2012 – contract position

Catalyst Rx, Philadelphia, PA

Configured and implemented v10.2 for Catalyst, creating and populating all structures for work, strategy, resources and alternate structures. Created configured screens and lifecycles for adding work, creating new fields for reporting new pieces of data. Updated the request and work lifecycles, configured screens, alternate structures and scripted dialogs for new lifecycles. Created all user documentation specific to Catalyst’s processes. Developed Business Objects reports for senior management; handled all user questions and issues (400 users currently) as well as all vendor related issues. Worked with a member of the server team to ensure database updates and Planview progression are running as scheduled. Develop SQL queries when needed to update database structures and cleanup.

Planview Administrator – 3/2011 – 5/2011 – contract position

AARP, Washington, DC

Planview Administrator implemented v10.1 for AARP; building structures, configured screens, developed training materials, and delivered training to PMO reps. Worked extensively with their financial team to develop budgets for project plans, configured financial versions and models. Teamed up with AARP’s business units to determine requirements for management reporting. (This was a short term project)

Project Manager/Planview Administrator – 12/2008 – 2/2011

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Rochester, NY

As project manager for the upgrade of Planview, my responsibilities included leading the upgrade to Version 10.1; configuration of all system options, creating new structures and keying in all user and resource attributes for approximately 1,500 active users. Also responsible for leading daily discussions with business sponsors and vendor, providing direction to the project sponsor, and working with the vendor on installation.

Current responsibilities also include keeping Version 9 up and running until all projects are considered complete. My Business Objects experience has allowed me to train other super users in the creation of BO reports and publishing them to the Planview interface.

Developing role based training curriculum and easy to read User Guides with step by step instructions is another area of responsibility and expertise that I have brought to Excellus. As a result, Excellus has stopped purchasing vendor reference material, saving the corporation several thousands of dollars. Developed many e-learning modules using Captivate for use where instructor-led training was not feasible.
