 Tasks included working with development areas to turn logical models into physical databases.

 A number of database imports and exports were done to move data from one machine to another. Extensive creation of shell scripts for database monitoring and DBA task automation.

 This is a 24/7 international environment headquartered in Israel with major development centers in India. Used ClarifyCRM along with an in-house written application to control Change and Trouble tickets.

Eli Lilly – Indianapolis, IN PRODUCTION ORACLE DBA (01/07- 04/07)

Worked as a DBA supporting their production environment.

 It included account management, application object management, backup management, common scripts enhancement, installation, and rollout (scripts in .sh;.ksh;.pl), migrating data between database environments, database creation, moving a database from one server to another server, monitoring database activity and performing database tuning as required, database recovery(using RMAN) and database retirement.

 This is a 24/7 environment with RAC, Datagard and standby databases (both physical and logical). Used Remedy system to control Change and Trouble tickets.

IBM - Application Services – Northampton, MA TECHNICAL ORACLE DBA (02/06-08/06) Work at home for NISource IBM account.

 It was a new account (for IBM) that needed the software put on a number of machines. Installed Oracle 9.2.0.6 database and client software from vendor CD’s NFS’ed to appropriate machine.. Executed data refreshes, build new databases and space monitoring (Tablespace expansion).

METLIFE, Formerly Citigroup – Travelers Life & Annuity, Hartford, CT

INFORMATION ENGINEER – TECHNICAL ORACLE DBA (07/2002 – 11/2005)

Created and maintained the technical infrastructure of the test, QA and Production environments. Created a number of new instances on UNIX platforms for application tools. Assisted with database design and performance tuning. Provided on-call rotation, 24/7 support of on-line very large systems. Troubleshot systems problems. Took part in the upgrade to Oracle 9.2.0 and upgrade of Sun hardware. Created databases from logical designs.

• Wrote “policies and guidelines” for Travelers use of the ETI tool, allowing a shorter learning curve and better observance to guidelines for new applications.
