Project: Support and Testing of @Work Application
United Way Toronto is a registered charity organization which attempts to solve social issues affecting Toronto Communities by building partnerships with community leaders, business, labor and government. The United way fund raiser community uses the @work application as a part of their fund raising campaigns. At united way my role was to support the @work application in the Information Technology team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load Testing Tool: Studied and documented the working of JMeter tool and provided knowledge transfer to the client.
• Detail Design: Involved in the system appreciation phase of the project with the documentation of various components of the @work application. The various components documented were ASP, VB 6, .NET, crystal reports and database components
• Encryption and Decryption: Studied the encryption and decryption of the @Work application using the xp_crypt- xp_aes_decrypt and xp_aes_encrypt algorithms.
• Application Support: Supported the application in production support period and fixed the defects.

Project: Integrated Lending Solution Application.
First Canadian Title (FCT) offers comprehensive title insurance protection to the Canadian real estate market. The FCT’s web based Integrated Lending Solution (ILS) 2.0 portal supports the refinance and switch/transfer business scenarios. My role was to understand the ILS 2.0 portal, document its various components, support the application and enhance it with new features.
Key Responsibilities:
• Created the system appreciation document for the integrated lending solution application and documented its various aspects by analyzing the existing code base and stored procedures.
• Prepared process flow diagrams for the integrated lending solution application.

Project: Courtlink
LexisNexis Group is a global legal publishing arm of Reed Elsevier, the Anglo-Dutch world-leading publisher and information provider. LexisNexis (LN) CourtLink® provides access to the calendar proceedings (docket) of a lawsuit. LN CourtLink website displays case related data to attorneys on a subscription based system. A backend application “Sun Valley System” is used to collect data by scraping data from public court websites. My role was to harvest court cases by scraping data from public court websites.
Key Responsibilities
• Understood the design/implementation of “Sun Valley System”.
• Analyzed the requirements gathered by client and documented various components required for implementation. Also was involved in indentifying any discrepancies present at the analysis stage to reduce effort at a later stage.
• Explored the add on “Live HTTP Header” and implemented it in the project for analyzing the websites.
• Coded the harvester module of the application, wrote stored procedures, self tested the application and fixed the defects.
• Created Test Plans for the unit, integration and system testing.
• Performed Integration and System testing of the application according to the test plans.
• Extensively involved in Configuration Controller activities, controlled the access rights for the different regions of the project, etc due to which the project was rated CMMI Level-5.

I was involved mainly in enhancing the Graphical User Interface (GUI) part of the application with new features.
Key Responsibilities
• Worked in bringing multi-browser capability in the reed connect application.
• Involved in the migration of the Reed Connect Application from VS.net 2003 (Framework 1.0) to VS.Net 2005(Framework 2.0) and resolving the issues arising from the migration.
