1. File Management System (FMS)

Description: The project is intended for production people of Thomson Digital to provide a Web Based system for transferring the application files from one process to another with Version Control. The system also helps the end user to maintain the quality within the process and to keep track of productivity gains. Version Control and systematic flow of inputs and outputs are the two main characteristics of this system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Requirement Analysis of Software Projects. Discussion with all the stakeholders and thorough analysis of software requirements.

• Selection of Software Models and strategic planning for following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Preparation of Software Requirement Specification (SRS) and Business Requirement Document (BRD).

• Create flow and low level design via Use cases and user flow diagram.

• Gathering and analysis on Business logics.

• Analysing and optimising the code based upon the feedbacks from the testing team.

• Tracking all task and issues using TPMS and Bugzilla.

The application thus provide a fast-track system and helps to provide a systematised SDLC model.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The project was initiated and presented to the management team by me as business analyst.

• Create flow and low level design via sequence diagram through UML.

• Participative role in Black box testing and co-ordinating the changes required with the development team.

• Creating of functional specifications, business requirements analysis, flowcharts and process maps.

3. Thomson Quick Template Development (TQTD)

Description: The application is used for integrating the XML files with the pagination platforms like Adobe InDesign and 3B2. TQTD provides an interface or user-friendly GUI to the user for feeding the values obtained from client in the form of JSR and generate the XMl file from the data fed. This XML will then be mapped with pagination platform through Javascript.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The client request are being handed on priority basis and needs to complete within very tight time frame whereas change request needs special attention to capture the requirements.
