• Supported 15 operating rooms, assisting with cases, arranging O.R., and setting up equipment for endoscopic procedures.

• Assisted with patient care; secured supplies; set up equipment and instruments for the surgical team; and handled instruments during surgery.

• Washed and sterilized equipment needed for next surgical case.

Endoscopy O.R. Rotation

• Set up rooms for surgery, and assisted with Laparoscopic procedures for Endometriosis.

• Assisted physician in retrieving specimens; cleaned scopes and operated camera.

• Restocked supplies for other procedures, and cleaned up post-procedure.

Central Sterile Supply

• Gained experience in 4 divisions – Decontamination; Assembly; Sterilization; and Steam, Wrapping and Labeling. Controlled the location of contaminated instruments and supplies to prevent the spread of infection by properly utilizing the case cart system.

• Utilized ultrasonic cleaner and autoclaves.

OB/GYN

• Assisted in open and closed Gallbladder removal procedures, cleaned rooms after procedures, and stocked unused supplies.

• Assisted in gynecological Hysterectomy surgeries, passing the instruments and supplies during the procedure.
