I am a recent graduate of East Carolina University's College of Technology and Computer Science. Adequately skilled in the programs of AutoCAD, Inventor, Microsoft Office, and other industry related computer systems, I am dedicated to my career goals and persistently strive with an unwavering attitude until I achieve them. A person of the highest honesty and integrity for I hold the reputation of my company and myself in high regard. I believe that it takes a strong enthusiasm for the project to provide top level motivation to get the work done in a timely manner and I enjoy using my communication skills to keep everyone on target to bring the project in on time.

OBJECTIVE

PROJECTS COMPLETED

Worked with team to design a 6,000 total sq. ft. duplex with optimized site. The duplex design employed techniques of sustainability through the use renewable resources, adaptability through universal design, and maximized energy conservation. Our design was selected to compete against other universities in the North Carolina

Sustainable Design Challenge in Raleigh. Criteria for selection included having a design that had a LEED rating of silver, gold, or platinum. For more information on NCSDC (www.advancedenergy.org/sbdc)

Urban and Regional Planning courses project profiled urban design practices that connected East Carolina University to the rest of Greenville and proposed ways to enhance these practices to positively benefit Greenville in a socio-economic aspect. Project included multiple GIS produced maps.

CAD DESIGN COURSEWORK

My involvement and strong attention to detail in all phases of design projects were an integral part of the B.S. Design program and a large part of acquisition of my ADDA drafting designation.

- Drafting functional scaled plans of complete steel structures and rebar reinforced concrete items such as piers,commercial buildings, and various miscellaneous structures in order to become fluent in AutoCAD drafting.

- Relevant sight planning for correct positioning with respect to zoning laws, and environmental regulations.

- Detailing and dimensioning of structure, understanding of change proposals to existing drawings.

- Trigonometry applications to gain knowledge of unknown angles, vertices, legs, perimeters, and hypotenuse for the practical purposes of detailing and dimensioning of structure in AutoCAD.

- Drafting sectional views of structures in order to gain understanding of beam, joist, column, footing and truss connections, and knowledge of Simpson Strong tie make and models

- Sectionals of reinforced concrete footings and foundations with proper rebar designations, accurate depth of footings, accurate ground material in conjunction with footings.

POST EDUCATION CAREER ADVANCEMENT

Recent projects I am currently working on:

Remodel entrance of Sunroom to eliminate columns and promote openness of interior of residence without undermining structural integrity. This project of mine includes replication of floor plans along with replicate elevation sectional. In the next phase I will begin remodeling by removing non load- bearing columns in rendition proposals.

Study pictures, plans and renderings of the East Carolina University Football Expansion project create my own rendering using solid modeling programs and also do replicate working drawings from scratch on AutoCAD.
