PROFESSIONAL ABILITIES
Strategic Planning/Budgeting
Created and coordinated a three year rolling strategic plan and corresponding budget taking into account the decreased visibility of the out periods. My strategic Planning/Budgeting process defined benchmarks for key administration functions and included stakeholders input based on identified fundamentals established for each department or function. I managed cash and prepared a weekly projection of cash sources and uses over a 13- week window for a $300,000,000+ logistics company with the constraint of no Line of Credit availability.
Analytical Ability
Designed and prepared reporting packages that pinpointed and exemplified metrics critical to making operational adjustments on a timely basis and supported management’s attainment of planned objectives. I designed and prepared daily reporting of Key Performance Indicators. I communicated the implications of critical data to all team member levels that could bring about the necessary adjustments to resolve actual to budget variances. Prepared due diligence work-papers for the evaluation of merger and acquisition potential.
Financial Statement Preparation
I have hands on experience preparing the timely month-end closes and multi company consolidation, including foreign subsidiaries, while preparing account analysis and reconciliation. I supervised up to ten direct reports who performed subsidiary functions of the closing process including Treasury, Invoicing, A/R, A/P, Payroll, Purchasing and Cost Accounting.
Process Improvement
Process mapped operating activities in a 3PL/Warehousing environment to identify areas that could benefit through streamlined methods. I identified waste, defined and standardized steps and sequences that promoted deeper understanding and built consensus. Made the proper adjustments to ensure efficient and effective flow of information across the company. I implemented a paperless Accounting Payable system eliminating the need for useless storage of documents and increased control and speed in the approval process. I took actions that ensured the protection of company assets and oversight of business activities.
