Radio Frequency Engineer

EFJohnson R&D – Irving, TX – 2/2006 – 1/2008

Responsible for developing methodologies and performing reliability test procedures adhering to both customer requirements and product specifications

Support radio system designs including synthesizers, filters matching circuits, frond ends small signal amplifiers and power amplifiers within the Land Mobile Radio subscriber units 700/800MHz, VHF and UHF RF circuits

Collaborate with manufacturing department to solving obsolescence issues and increase plant productivity

Provide support for existing products regarding resolution of field, factory and warranty issues

Responsible for RF qualifications, modifications and tests prototypes for new and existing products to meet FCC specifications

BTS Development Engineer

Motorola – Fort Worth, TX – 1/2001 – 11/2002

Responsible for technical planning, system integration and verification testing for Motorola third generation Base Transceiver System products (WCDMA)

Define test procedure and test plan for manufacturing to ensure that the BTS is being test per air interface and Motorola standards

Verify functional performance of BTS

Team with Hardware and Software engineers to resolve design issues

Provide test specifications, including creating and updating test documents.

Radio Frequency Engineer

Develop new RF Products for BTS

Analyze, track, and evaluate different RF specification requirements for subcontracted units by actively sourcing local suppliers

Evaluate, test, and implement new product improvements for existing RF modules to reduce project costs and increase customer satisfaction

Responsible for testing Base Station at both unit and system levels, such as HP3070.
