All necessary supervision done during cable tensioning of girders and decisions taken for the acceptance of the results at the spot and if necessary de-stressing & re-stressing done or reviewed for a solution of disputed results if there is.

Present status:

Presently involved in construction supervision of a Six-lane carriage way(3-lane on either side) from Al-Haw tat to Hair (Riyadh having a total length of 106 Km as a Bridge Engineer since June 2006. The project comprises of seven bridges having six to thirty spans (span lengths 7, 20, 25&35LM).All the bridges have pile foundations and Pre-cast Post-tensioned girders. So far three bridges have been completed. A total of 750 girders have been cast, stressed, grouted and launched. Quality works have been achieved for all the executed works. Duties performed are:

-Study the proposed site and verify finer details before execution.

-Monitoring contractor’s operation, construction planning and scheduling.

-Inspection & checking as per request submitted by contractor.

-Confirmation that the materials used are as per standard set in the contract

And their storage/stacking are as per specification.

-Review contractor’s submittals (eg, works method statements, proposed plan).Make comments on it and necessary recommendations for final approval.

-Checking and corrections for steel bar-bending schedules and shop drawings as submitted by the contractor.

-Necessary correspondence and site notes on the site works in progress to the contractor through Resident Engineer.
