Senior RF /System Performance Engineer 1998 – 2002
• Provided RF and cell data to SCC for E911 Phase 1, and coordinated some of the call testing. Interfaced with Cingular Emergency Management Office and vendor to insure Phase II compliance, and coordinated test plan with call testers.
• Coordinated channel and equipment adds with Design/Field Engineering to reduce cell site congestion, and maintain DREC at less than 5 percent.
• Managed the implementation and optimization of Ericsson’s Multi Exchange Paging training session. Actively managed the subsequent re-definition of this feature in the Cingular-Houston network.
• Designed, coordinated, and managed all cluster tests and associated Engineers, and Switch Personnel to optimize the addition of channels and devices to new and existing switches. Interfaced with Ericsson Radio Based Station, Data Transcription Writers, and Switch Testers to insure accuracy of transmittals.
• Acted as a mentor to the junior and new members of the Performance/Field Engineering team.

Performance Engineer 1996 – 1998
• Insured the testing of new cellsites within three days of activation, and produced complete and accurate reports of each new cell drive-test. Suggested appropriate action to rectify any design issues found.
• Actively worked within the Performance Team to insure the tracking of positive trends with lost calls, handoff failures, and attempt failures.
• Coordinated Performance team Issues with Field Engineering in the timely deployment, and resolution of performance issues.
• Leader of the (COW), Cell on Wheels project team, that provided a mobile cell site to areas where cell site coverage was low, a transmitter test was required for a new cell justification, or a cell site had been off the air due to weather or some other mishap. Managed and coordinated the purchase, licensing, driver training, and primary equipment installation of the vehicle.
• Coordinated, performed, and provided the solution for RF walk through testing of all existing/new micro-cell, macro-cell, Wireless Office Service, Pico cell and repeater in- building applications. Interviewed and tested various vendors’ indoor RF testing equipment.
• Authored and presented the R.F. and Switch technical aspects of Cellular Overview for non-technical employees.
• Created a basic “cellular 101” reference training document for Customer Service Representatives.
Drive Test Engineer 1993 – 1996
• Developed procedure for equipment that evaluated and benchmarked the wire line and non-wire line system performance. Coordinated factory support for equipment repairs, and upgrades. Trained the driver/operator in the setup and operation to insure reports are accurate, and timely.
• Accurately designed and scheduled individual drive-tests of new cell sites to insure maximum coverage and minimum interference.
• Coordinated all drive-tests associated with the interference reduction /system gain project group to test the implementation of new tower top type amps and Rx path interference filters.
• Worked with Digital implementation team to coordinate drive-testing new cellsites and performance issues during the transition from analog to digital.
• Defined the procedure for Test Transmitter tests, and coordinated with assigned tower vendor for any equipment needed. Trained Drive-Testers and Design Engineers in the operation of this function.
• Acted as liaison with Petrocom to define testing procedures for offshore contour testing.
