4/94 to PRESENT - OWNER/ENGINEER, CLEARWATER ENGINEERING; KINGSPORT, TN - I have managed site and public works projects for developers and municipalities in TN and VA. /The work has included approximately 16 subdivisions, multiple site projects, and approximately 2 water / sewer projects. I have performed engineering design, AutoCAD drafting, construction inspection, estimating, construction surveying, and all other activities required to perform support engineering work. I hold US Patent # 7,367,479 B2.

4/89 to 4/94 - PLANT ENGINEER, CYPRUS FOOTE MINERAL CO., DUFFIELD, VA - I worked on development, design, and management of comprehensive lithium hydroxide plant, two years interim and backup plant manager, two years interim and backup production manager, two years interim and backup maintenance supervisor. I developed the concept, pilot tested, and designed a new lithium hydroxide centrifuge - kiln process, and reverse osmosis process. I designed /constructed / maintained a new Foxboro I/A DCS process control system, a product cooling system, a product packaging system, multiple pump stations, environmental, maintenance and quality projects. I performed process inventory work and process troubleshooting. I received a company award for dedication to job.

6/87 to 4/89 - PROCESS ENGINEER, ALPHA RESINS, 19991 SEATON AVE., PERRIS, CA. - I designed and managed a comprehensive polyester resin plant upgrade, including preparation of PFD’s, PID’s. I coordinated major maintenance projects including rebuilding the inert gas generator and distillate system, and plant outages.

9/85 to 6/87 - PROJECT MANAGER, ETC ENGINEERS, 1510 S. BROADWAY, LITTLE ROCK, ARK. - I performed design and management of two complete city wastewater projects, one involving innovative technology , and a highway project. I was on-site project manager for a fiberglass nitroglycerin transmission system at Radford, Virginia.

6/81 to 9/85 - MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE, US STEEL, FAIRFIELD AL; USS CHEMICALS, JACKSONVILLE, ARK. - I was production supervisor for the blast furnace until plant shutdown., then I was transferred to computer programmer for new seamless tubing mill. I was then transferred to process engineer position in chemical division in Jacksonville, AR performing project design/management and production scheduling.

1/77 to 12/77 - ENGINEERING CO-OP; 6/78 TO 9/79 - ENGINEER I, UNION CARBIDE NUCLEAR DIVISION, P.O. BOX P, OAK RIDGE, TN. - Design of process, utility, and environmental fluid systems, including pump stations, tanks, piping, etc.
