Summary
At my former position as a Furniture Designer with VWR International I researched and developed 137 Proposal drawings. In addition thru Design Express matrix I assisted constructing a vendor block library to include elevation, side views and detail sheets using Autocad 2004. With dbSpectra I served as System Support which include Autocad Technician, Documentation Coordinator, and Internal ISO Auditor.
In May of 2005 I graduated from CCI Training Center, Dallas, Texas- Mechanical Engineering Technology-Certified in Autocad 2005/Inventor Release 9 and awarded a Certificate of Excellence, after which I acquired a Autodesk Autocad 2005 Instructors Certification.
Prior to 2005, I was employed 20+ years, as a Technician in various engineering fields which includes Home Repair and Remodeling, Aviation Jet Engine Repair, Bulk Fuel System Maintenance and Marine Boiler Systems Operation and Maintenance.
Professional Experience
02/2008 – 01/2009 Designer VWR Furniture Division
Assigned to VWR Furniture’s Design Department. My responsibilities include Design of laboratory’s using VWR’s vendor block library thru Design Express and Autodesk AutoCAD 2004.
Accomplishment
Completed 137 proposal drawings for a total value of $2,025,710.87 in sales.
Constructed and Revised approximately 17 drawings per month at a value of $1,290,778 per month.
Researched and introduced a PC based electronic review program that will track changes, reduce errors, speed the review process and eliminate paper waste, which will be introduced in 2009.
08/2007 – 02/2008 Designer Volt Technical
Assigned to VWR Furniture Division Irving, Texas. My responsibilities include Vendor Research and Documentation.
Accomplishment
Constructed 9200 items for VWR’s vendor block library, the wblock’s include plan, side, elevation views, cut and detail sheets.
05/2006 – 07/2007 System Support dbSpectra
My responsibilities included Autocad Technician I, Documentation Coordinator, Manufacturing Engineer, Methods Specialist and Facilities Engineer.
Accomplishment
Developed dbSpectra’s paperless documentation system.
Constructed and executed, in Autocad, a RF component block library.
Designed and Constructed a 200 amp power distribution system for testing.
09/2003 – 12/2004 District Maintenance Engineer Intown Suites
Responsible for vital system operation of four properties, 484 units.
Accomplishment
Maintained the highest accomplishment rate for execution of district level work orders, resulting in Region I Area I as the only Area company wide (161 properties) with no out of service units as of December 2004.
09/1997 – 09/2003 Proprietor Golden Hands Building Maintenance
Acquired maintenance contracts in single and multi-family housing. Executed repairs involving upgrades and additions in carpentry, drywall/paint, plumbing, electrical and ceramic tile.
