Consulted for three years at Kerzner International providing functional and technical support to JD Edwards business-applications and involved in a number of projects on the IBM i as listed below:

World to OW Migration Involved in a major migration project from World 7.3 to OW XE involving, user security profile setup, software configuration, testing and end-user training.

World Consolidation Project Consolidation project to merge two World JDE 7.3 environments into a single environment before migrating to the new OW XE release.

JDE business-application support G/L customization, FASTR & WW reporting, End-of-Month closing support, account reconciliation support, data integrity fixes and end-user training and support. Provided the Auditors with AS/400 system configuration information and security under approval of the IT Manager.

Auditron/400 and Security Commander Technical Support Supported maintain and enhanced AS/400 audit and security software products using RPG and CL for national and international clients.

Tire Kingdom: Programmer/analyst in a data migration project and involved in a reporting project for the POS application and an EDI customization project.

Exxon-Mobil: Programmer/analyst in several enhancement projects to applications in the financial and inventory modules to fit the business needs as required by the organization in JDE World 7.3 in the Energy and Chemical Solution (ECS) modules using RPG and CL. Assisted end-users to improve the functionality and usability of the JDE applications.

RPG Programmer Analyst

Worked in a team of twelve staff programmers which main objective was to analyze, design, develop, and maintain a legacy application system using RPG/400, CL and database query tools on an IBM AS/400. Participated in the company's Y2K conversion project as a programmer/analyst.

RPG Programmer and Operations

1994 - 1997. Banco Internacional de Costa Rica (BICSA), Miami FL.

Hired as an AS/400 operator and eventually promoted to RPG Programmer during my duties at the Bank and under mentorship by the IT Manager, I quickly progressed to being a key contributor to the IT Department, independently handling full life cycle application development, enhancements and technical support. Also involved with hardware configuration, system security and administration duties on an AS/400.

Served as a junior programmer coding and testing applications in RPG II on an IBM S/36 under the supervision of a lead programmer involving several banking application projects for Accounting and Compliance areas. Provided helpdesk and operations support duties in the IT department.
