Background Summary

Mechanical Engineering graduate from, Lakehead University, with a Mechanical Engineering technology diploma from SAIT. Studies have focused primarily on air flow control. My final degree project was building/designing/testing a formula 1 style race car as part of LUFSAE (Lakehead University Formula SAE) team. Registered as an engineer in training with APEGS.

• Graduated with B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering 2010

• Worked on the LUFSAE body cover team, primary focus was the aerodynamics also had to make sure the body cover was properly integrated with the frame and did not interfere with any of the other systems

• Self taught ANSYS CFX an analytical program for simulation and design of complex air/fluid flow problems, mentored other LUFSAE team members in the use of the program

• Proficient with Solidworks 2009

• Used Solidworks to design the car body, created 1:1 print out of the body, made a plug from those templates, made it ultra smooth with many hours of sanding, created a female mould from the plug and then used the mould to make the final body cover, tested sample pieces to make sure it was impact resistant

• Volunteered and organized fundraising events to finance the LUFSAE project

• Took various courses on the environment including Geography and Geology courses
