Swedish Medical Center, Seattle, Washington 2007-Present
Largest non-profit health care provider in the greater Seattle region. Swedish has three hospital locations, a free-standing Emergency Department and a network of 12 primary care clinics.
Senior Project Manager-Seattle, Washington 2007-Present
Responsible for the management of Capital Projects including RFP’s, design of construction drawings, schedules, cost estimates, construction, furniture, medical equipment, project cost tracking and close-out.
• Completed a new product line, Pediatric Simulation Suite, from programming to design to construction and close out. The Pediatric Sim Suite was the first of its kind in the Northwest and received positive coverage over all major news organizations in Seattle.
• Assisted in development of a new Design and Construction department including developing procedures, space plan and build department office, review of resumes and interviewing candidates saving Swedish over $500,000 over a two year period.
• Managed the design of a 5 story medical office building with Imaging and Emergency Department functions for the Swedish Ballard Campus.
Kaiser Permanente, Portland, Oregon/Modesto, California 2002-2007
HMO which provides in and out patient services to it’s’ members. Kaiser currently owns or leases over 90 facilities in the Portland Metro region.
Project Manager/Team Leader-Portland, Oregon 2005-2007
Responsible for design of construction drawings, schedules, cost estimates and completion of projects from design to opening for Medical and Administration projects. Managed architects, contractors, IT, furniture and equipment venders. Operated as an Owners’ Representative.
• Led a team that developed a plan to restructure the entire 16 floors of Kaiser’s Northwest administration building allowing growth for 5 years without needing to lease additional facilities.
• Managed fast track relocation of 94 Membership Services employees enabling expansion needed to meet existing contract requirements saving Kaiser over $500K in potential rebates.
• Team Leader for the East Division of Kaiser’s Design and Construction Department. The East team was responsible for over 80 projects in one year.
Project Manager - Modesto, California 2002-2005
• Led design team for a new 80 Provider Medical Office building, 50 acre campus from Design Development Documents to construction.
• Managed complicated fast track Radiology project with 3,000 SF expansion which included a new MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT, General Radiology and relocation of equipment, enabling Kaiser to internalize these functions saving $750K the first year.

Commercial Construction Company which focused on new tilt-up industrial warehouses and assisted living facilities.

Provided direction and leadership to a 16 million-dollar-per-year commercial general construction company. Managed the accounting, estimating and construction administration. Performed construction estimates, schedules, subcontractor coordination, RFI’s and completed AIA billing forms.
• Managed company’s growth from $3 million in 1997 to $16 million in 2001.
• Spearheaded team which built an 82K SF industrial warehouse, ground up, in 92 days, enabling the developer to beat their competitor to market and lease the property to a national company.

• Managed a HUD funded new 56 bed assisted living, which completed 2 months ahead of schedule.
