Department Manager February 2010 – Present Wal-Mart Stores, Inc Cincinnati, Ohio Managed and supervised Frozen and Dairy departments including assisting customers, projecting sales and ordering, setting up and maintaining a computerized merchandise tracking system, as well as coordinating with a wide variety of private vendors. Have had the opportunity to train five employees.
Construction/Renovation Assistant January 2009 – July 2010 Independent Contractor Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio Contributed to a variety of Design/Build construction projects and performed residential interior finish work.
Geotechnical Research Assistant January 2008 – December 2008 University of North Carolina at Charlotte Charlotte, North Carolina Collaborated with the Civil Engineering Department of UNC Charlotte on a U.S. Department of Transportation project. Gathered and categorized soil samples, performed Proctor compaction tests, presented data in report form, and prepared specimens for triaxial shear tests.
Ranch Engineer/Project Manager June 2007 – December 2008 Independent Contractor Charlotte, North Carolina Designed, completed, and oversaw completion of a variety of on-site engineering projects such as large-scale greenhouse design and automated operation, green-energy upgrades, retaining walls and small-scale pile foundations, and rainwater collection systems for greenhouse water reclamation.
