Independent Contractor (June 2010 – present)

• I’m currently enrolled in the Becker CPA Exam Review class held at the University of New Orleans. Studying for this exam is like having a full time job.

• Contracted Computer Repair and Implementation – Repaired personal computers that contained viruses, ran slowly, could not connect to a network, or simply would freeze up during operation.

• Purchased laptop computer and necessary accounting software (QuickBooks Online) for my Homeowners Association. Entered household data, and payments to do away with excessive paper and the need for reporting. Maintain the database and the Security Administrator for it. I also, trained board members on how to use software.

• Contracted Mover for Allied Van Lines – Duties include: moving Military families’ household goods from one military base to another military base. These military bases are located from the East coast to the West Coast and everywhere in between. Furniture was padded to minimize damage and claims. I loaded the boxes and furniture into the truck to ensure that the furniture made it safely from one destination to another.

• Performed General and Application Control IT Audits on numerous Louisiana Governmental Agencies following commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Accounting and Information Technology field (ex. CoBIT, NIST, GAAP, SAS, Yellow Book, GAGAS, and others.)
