Project Manager

I manage multiple multimillion dollar projects and multiple clients. I create tracking matrix and budget analysis/forecast to follow the process from issuance of PO to completion. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the projects and scope including cost and forecasting related to deliverables, schedule and resources. I identify the necessary resources internally and externally to assign priorities on work that needs to be performed and monitor progress on all jobs. Application Engineer (Rig Solutions)

Developed client and vendor proposals along with General arrangement, Sequence and Layouts of equipment that is best suited for the customers’ needs. Managed multiple projects dealing with customer interface and overall technical applications for offshore Drilling Packages, packages including Derricks, Fingerboards, Top Drives, Pipe Rackers, Automated Roughnecks, Passive/Active Heave Compensators, Controls, piping and related structural, electrical and Hydraulic/pneumatic interfaces. Was the technical customer liaison between business groups in the U.S., China and Norway. I dealt with the customer to discuss layout and equipment in addition to other opportunities we may have to offer add on services or equipment. 9/06-5/08 BAE Systems Inc. (Formerly Armor Holdings Aerospace and Defense Group) Sealy, Texas

Lead STS Designer

Lead 11 fulltime people (total 23 people) working on various drawing redline incorporations as well as new development designs for complex MTV and LMTV military vehicles. Was responsible for creating databases to track work flow and create future cost for new work. Performed both tolerance stack up calculations as well a proper GD&T methodology use. Supported five project engineers/managers on various projects from air drop variants to new armored military vehicle variants. Dealt with the customer (TACOM Govt ) daily to ensure that we didn’t have issues stopping the design or the production of the FMTV family of vehicles. We utilizeed two different databases within Intralink and conformed to TACOM standards. In addition I utilized several aspects within Wildfire model and the drawing modules. Lead designer for new vehicle design during document/model development leading to production. I developed 2D light backdrop assemblies and drawings for customer archiving. Worked with large assembly management/creation. Dealt with the production dept to support them pertaining the assembly of the FMTV, in addition to working with the engineering dept to resolve issues that might come in production as far as fit, form and finish.

9/04-7/05 Kaman/Dayron Orlando, Florida

Electro-Mechanical R&D Group

I worked on various projects pertaining to the “safe” and “arm” (S&A) devices used in Military specific ammunition. I performed tolerance and fit, as well as function analysis of large assemblies, head up the initial design of the S&A device as well as the housing and other components that are used for this product. As part of the design/Engineering team I dealt with the customer (General Dynamics, TACOM) for meetings pertaining to the progress of the munitions and cost for new R&D product development. Provide technical support to the R&D lab as well as the production floor pertaining to the assembly of the munitions.

Mechanical Designer - Product Design Group

I worked with Product Engineering to develop new product lines for valves that are used in the pharmaceutical industry. I worked with many customers simultaneously to create the vales that suited there needs. In addition to that I was able to resolve issues that came up with the routing of the valves. I calculated mass properties using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) design software. I used Pro-Pipe to create the tube runs. In addition, I created Machine detail drawings and customer drawings.

Mechanical Designer Motor R&D Department

Design, develop and research new or improve existing motor products with ISO9001 design environment requirements. Calculate and analyze engineering data such as stress, strength and heat transfer to provide solid evidence for new products performance and reliability. Modeled all mechanical parts of the motor – shaft, cast iron frame, bearing housing sheet-metal top-hat and baffles. I created comprehensive bill of material utilizing Baan. I also implemented the migration for Intralink 3.2 from our old CAD data management solution. Worked with vendors across the world on creating motor housing that we created from concept and that went into production. Also seeked out vendors to create parts for us.

I was the liaison between R&D manager and manufacturing for the design of intricate medical components. I worked closely with engineers updating drawings, bill of materials, and assembly diagrams. Created Assembly models form piece parts for fit form and function. Assisted in the design and layout of electromechanical packaging.

9/00-4/01 Smith International Ponca City, Oklahoma

Designer – Contractor

Modeled and modified tooling fixtures using reverse engineering. I created models and assemblies that had to be put into cad from blueprints. Performed design changes and updated details of boring bits used in down-hole drilling. I worked closely with manufacturing in trouble-shooting design issues of bits and fixtures.

3/00-9/00 Lockheed Martin Houston, Texas

Designer – Contractor

Worked with minimal supervision from the project engineer on designing the racks to move equipment around on the tarmac. Created the models from scratch and similar parts as reference for EVA tools. (Drills and Stepping Plates for the space station) Created schematics for the battery chargers for the shuttle. Detailed drawing creation, meeting both NASA standards and ANSI 14.5 standards of both piece parts and complex assemblies containing 300-500 parts.
