• Designing an electrical power distribution (33/6.6kV & 6.6/0.415kV Substations) system for the Rolling Mills unit (1.6MTPA) for one of the largest producers of steel in India

 Substation layout and design

 Load analysis and fault level calculations

 Single line diagrams for entire power distribution system in AutoCAD

 Equipment sizing – Power & distribution transformers, generators, neutral grounding resistors (NGR), circuit breakers, high voltage switchgears, low voltage switchgears(PCCs, PMCCs), surge arrestors, batteries, busducts, power and control cables

 Preparation of technical specifications for the above mentioned equipments.

 Technical evaluation of offers for compliance with project requirements and preparation of technical recommendations for vendor selection

 Review of vendor drawings/documents for approval

 Schematics/wiring diagrams/control logics for high voltage and low voltage switchboards(PCCs PMCCs)

• Designing power distribution for Steel Melting Shop (7MTPA) for a leading 4 billion dollar steel and power generation company

 General arrangement drawing for transformer yard, switchgear & control room layout

 Preparation of one line diagrams for high and low voltage systems

 Calculation of switchgear rating, feeder list and bill of material

 Calculation of cable/conduit sizes, cable tray & trench sizes, cable routing, cable quantity estimation

 Short circuit studies, voltage drop, motor starting, relay coordination

 Battery and battery charger sizing calculations

 Review of vendor drawings/calculations/documents for approval

 Schematics/wiring diagrams/control logics for high voltage and low voltage switchboards

 Protection of equipments and earthing design

 Collaboration with other trades to finalize civil and structural drawings

 Inspection of HT/LT Switchboards
