PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
U.S. Army – Various duty stations Jun 2001 – Jun 2005
Airborne Infantry, Sergeant (MOS 11B2P)
• Successfully conducted HVT (High Value Target) and convoy missions across Erbil and Tikrit, Iraq over an eight month period. Began military career as AG (Assistant Gunner) for the 240B. Quickly picked-up this line of work and was moved to the RTO (Radio Telephone Operator) position for the platoon, and then to a rifleman position in consideration of abilities to motivate and rouse my team for any occasion.
• Became very familiar with the M4 Carbine rifle while in the line unit. Served eight months with the 173rd ABN BGD before being PCS’d toward the end of Iraq tour to Fort Carson, CO. While in Colorado served with the 1-8 B, 3rd Brigade as a Squad Leader. Held an E6 SSG position as a “just promoted” E5 SGT.
• Tasked with ensuring my two teams of four were properly prepared for any and all deployments and training missions that came about. We trained often on the small arms range as well as the rifle ranges. Successfully completed the Brigade Sniper School While in 1-8 INF BN.
