Senior Quantity Surveyor
Whilst working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with Khansaheb I have managed to handle commercial and contractual tasks involved in the prestigious Pullman Hotel Project of Mall of the Emirates Dubai. The project value amounted to AED 470 million.
One of the major responsibilities assigned to me was to manage the change control process implemented by the Client/Cost Consultant. My contribution to the project played a significant role as the majority of the works were carried out during the period of financial crisis.
The roles and responsibilities included:
managing a team of five quantity surveyors/assistant quantity surveyors;
preparation of cost planning and procurement of subcontractors and suppliers;
preparation of monthly payment applications, notification and submission of variations to the client and drafting contractual letters;
management of change control process, value management and value engineering;
cost monitor and cost control, preparation of cash flow forecasts and monthly reconciliation of cost and value;
management of subcontract packages, dealing with insurances and bonds related to the project;
conduct meetings with client/subcontractors, settling project final accounts with client/subcontractors etc.
