Program Manager / Process Engineer

Led development and launch of new tube business from initial quote to manufacturing of product. Supported both tier 2 and tier 3 business for Ford, GM, Honda and Hyundai.

• Managed as many as 30 part numbers at a time in launch process, as well as quoting new business.

• Introduced new CNC wire bender into production to diversify and expand production capability.

• Responsible for verifying part feasibility/manufacturability and also verify part is designed to current manufacturing practices.

• Obtained tool and material quotes from vendors and coordinated timing for all purchased components.

• Ensured that all prototype orders were submitted and delivered on time.

• Prepare PPAP packages for submittal to customer, achieving 100% acceptance rate.

• Created tool drawings on AutoCAD for new production tooling.

AMI Industries (Lewiston, MI) Oct. 2005 – Jan. 2006

Responsible for the successful launching of three new fuel and water tube programs for AMI. This included managing all aspect of program from business nomination to full production.

• Selected key suppliers and coordinated their activities to assure testing and prototype parts where delivered on time.

TI Automotive (Warren, MI) June 2004 – Oct. 2005

Applications Engineer

Lead engineer for fuel filler pipe applications including all customer engineering interface for this important strategic product line.

• Managed suppliers and ensured testing and prototype parts were delivered on time.

• Customer interface champion for team introducing new material for filler pipe manufacturing to North American market.

• Co-developed and implemented FMEA standard used by Fuel & Brake division.

• Responsible for the product development and project management of fuel bundles and fuel tank top lines for General Motors applications from concept through production.

Developed and maintained valve train bearing components for Ford, Tier II suppliers, and Industrial engines. Coordinated all aspects of concept, design, prototyping, and testing.

• Designed cam follower bearing that was successfully introduced and tested for NASCAR applications.

• Designed and launched cam follower bearing for barrel lifter in high performance aftermarket race engines. (IHRA, NHRA)

• Designed two cam followers for BMW fully variable valve train.

• Spent two months in Germany training with parent company.
