work with diverse teams, while leading by example as an individual

contributor in both laboratory and production environments. Proven

technical skills utilized in driving profitable and cost-effective project

delivery.

Proficient maintaining and supporting a diverse array of wireless

communications equipment and systems. Adept at solving difficult and

complex problems, using Quality Assurance (QA) to improve system

performance. An excellent combination of microwave engineer, and hands-on

equipment specialist.

. Able to focus and work well in high-pressure situations, constantly

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

External Input Dallas, TX

2011 - Present Senior Consultant Backhaul Engineering

Provided RF and Microwave consultation with strong focus on performance

optimization, postmortum fault identification and outage prevention.

Clearwire Kirkland, WA

2006 -2010

Microwave Performance and Reliability Engineer

Provided expert knowledge of Redline AN50e, Redline AN80i, Motorola PTP600,

Dragonwave, Bridgewave, Ceragon, and Eband radio systems, serving as a key

contributor to the reliability and availability of the national Microwave

Backhaul used to carry customer traffic.

Provided site supervision, path alignment, equipment installation, and site

optimization for new site construction, conducting monitoring of the

microwave performance and alarm conditions. Resolved difficult microwave-

related outages, reviewing all microwave-related trouble tickets to assure

complete resolution.

Developed and maintained applications for automated network-wide audits and

to trigger preventive maintenance to reduce emergency outages.

Created a tool, LinkWatch, which displayed logical network diagrams for a

market and populated it with the functional state of each site and backhaul

element (up / down state, backhaul utilization, path alignment, and current

topology). LinkWatch allowed Network Operations to instantly identify the

source of network outages and weather-related damage, allowing for more

effective recovery operations.

Developed and maintained applications for automated microwave utilization

and parametric data collection used in historical performance monitoring,

including interactive network diagrams to provide real-time market status

aiding the Network Operation Center (NOC) in outage recovery and

prevention.

. Developed applications which performed configuration and software

upgrades of microwave radios, allowing the upgrade of up to eight

radios simultaneously to decrease site turn-up time.

. Responded to all NOC call-outs within a specified area and contacted

the appropriate field personnel to resolve system failures.

Form and Function Furnishings Monroe, WA

2002 - 2006

Founder / Owner

Designed cabinetry and millwork packages for clients, planning and managing

construction and installation projects. Managed all shop operations and

installation crews, including receivables, payables, and payroll, etc.

AT&T Wireless Services Redmond, WA

1998 - 2002

Test Engineer

Developed applications for system-level regression testing, creating

drivers that communicated with test instrumentation such as spectrum

analyzers, bulk-call generators, voice-quality test sets, and RF

attenuators using TCP / IP, RS232, RS422, TTL, and GPIB protocols.

Applications eliminated manual regression testing by test engineers and

provided an archive for system test data for each software release.

Developed applications that automated system-level testing in the

production of Base Stations and Remote Units. Wrote test code that

automated the software revision verification, application code download,

Base / RU configuration / RF synchronization, and call processing / HSD

testing, as well as data collection and failure documentation.

Designed, built, and maintained test platforms for production system-level

testing. Platforms included RF connectivity, T1, DSU / CSU and Router

connectivity to a dedicated Server for High-Speed Data testing, and Bulk

Call Generation, which simulated both subscriber and switch traffic.

The platforms emulated the field deployment and provided an environment

that allowed production personnel to move seamlessly from manufacturing to

field support.
