QUALIFICATIONS
• Specific job responsibilities include developing predictive tools to monitor equipment condition and performance in order to prevent unplanned events, providing real-time technical support to plant operations, troubleshooting unit events and identifying root cause and corrective actions by use of quality tools and processes.
• Possess expert operational and system knowledge of one or more turbine generator platforms. Acts as lead in defining troubleshooting plans for steam/gas turbines.
• Responsible for coordination of production requirements and ensuring quality standards are met for the overhaul and repair or test of the steam/gas turbines.
• Perform the work necessary to build, test, inspect and instrument a wide variety of steam/gas turbine engines and associated new technologies.
• Experience in the tear-down, build up or inspection of the steam/gas turbines. Performs routine maintenance of gas/steam turbines.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude, good communication skills and good organizational skills capable of tracking and reviewing current repair status of gearboxes for the steam/gas turbines.
• Work with engineering to develop tooling install instrumentation and devise methods to build engines and related component test hardware.
• Provides all precision tools required to perform extensive jobs with own tools as needed. Investigate problems and make repairs or modifications as necessary
• Communicate requirements and information to team members, supervisors and management.
• Experienced Valve Technician / Mechanic –tear down and assemble large & small valves. Control valves, multiple stop valves and etc.
• Experienced Machinist/Metal Fabricator with abilities to run a wide variety of machinist tools, surface grinders, lathes, etc.
