ROLL AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN NETWORK TEAM

• GSM RF Planning

• Coverage Planning: - Nominal planning (Search ring plan, Antenna height, orientation, tilt, site survey).

• Capacity Planning: - Increase Site configuration, capacity sites planning as per utilization of sectors & sites.

• Frequency Planning: - BCCH Planning & TCH, planning Neighbor list planning

• Lat long verification during new site survey, Nominal Plan for New sites.

• Support survey team movement & SARF submission.

• Global mapper to verify the link clearance in unconditional or conditional regions.

• Performing Drive Tests & analysis of RF Drive Test’s data on TEMS Investigation 8.0.3 (Ericsson), and RF Planning tools like MapInfo etc, to determine network Problems, Poor Coverage areas, Interference, Call drops & Handover Problems.

• Physical Testing, Check the Particular sites physically for Sector and cables swap, orientation, Tilt, Type of Antenna and all checking in BTS.

• After Doing Drive Test for particular sites clockwise and anticlockwise to check Rx level, Rx quality, swap interference and Handovers.

• Analyzing interference, Call Drops, Handover failures, Error in Connection, Channel reselections, Rx Quality, Rx level etc. and generating Rx Level & Quality Plots using MapInfo8.0,8.5 /MCOM.4.2

• Auditing of New Sites and Verifying Hardware, Tilt, Antenna height & Orientation according to the Planning Database.

• Post Processing of the collected data using GENX PROBE. Optimizing the Macro Cell allocating the proper Neighbors, Handover Criteria, Cell Select/Reselect criterion etc.

• Collection of Live Network Data using GENX PROBE TOOL and analyzing the performance of their network.
