Professional Experience
Ericsson, Tallinn, Estonia, April 2007 – present
Solutions Engineer
As an employee have had multiple roles, from integration engineer and product researcher to technical consultant and lector at IT College. Usually responsible for full solution cycle: participating in pre-sales and driving the initiation and development towards the hand-over. It includes frequent tight communication with clients, software design and implementation, configuration and release management.
Major achievements:
• Leaded the development of an "electric vehicle charging system" solution. Gradually refactored architecture from JEE 5 application (EJB, JPA, JMS, JSF Icefaces) to a lightweight application, mainly based on Spring, Hibernate, Jersey, and JQuery stack running on Jetty with H2 database. This reduced the load time and the code base, regardless of added new functionality.
• Integrated a third party product (customized J2EE application and implemented PL/SQL procedures) in context of proprietary systems: product was immature and poorly documented, tailoring an agile process and applying troubleshooting skills led to successful delivery.
• Being part of a team, implemented synchronization framework for synching telecommunications network elements into the logical network inventory management system. Framework was based on Spring, Hibernate while synchronization was done with ServiceMix, Oracle BPEL, Spring WS and Drools.
• Redesigned soft switch application according to client's rebranding strategy using JSP, JavaScript, CSS.
• Improved HR department process by designing and implementing a Groovy/Grails/JavaScript application for leave planning activities.
• Successfully gave a practical course at Estonian IT College on programming for Ericsson’s IMS product
