Responsible for new product development and updates to the existioing product line.

Developed new component and equipment related to aircraft cargo handling systems (CHS) and Quick Change (QC) systems, aircraft P-to-F conversion, repair and modifications for 737-300 and 757-200 aircraft.

Provided engineering support to line maintenance, heavy maintenance and modification centers where aircraft P-to-F conversions were being accomplished.

New aircraft acquisition team member. Actively involved in the configuration,development and acquisition of the MD-11F, 777F, A380-800F and 747-400F aircraft. Worked with Boeing and Airbus, interior component suppliers and CHS suppliers to define and guide development of supernumerary cabin, seats, gallies, supplemental quick-donning oxygen masks, crew rest accommodations and emergency equipment installations and cargo handling systems.

Lead the in-house alternate part development program where parts were developed to replace defective, hard to get and out of production parts.

Had overall responsibility for maintenance, reliability improvements on all aircraft cargo handling systems and liaison with all cargo system vendors (Goodrich, Telair, Ancra, AAR & Pemco). Was responsible for developing the specifications for all new CHS acquisitions.

757-200 track installation and CHS modification to add side-vertical restraints to address the requirements of AD 99-22-02. This was a three (3) year / 75 aircraft effort.

Lead the effort to acquire CAD capability at UPS (none existed previously). Was responsible for acquisition, training, software updates and on-call support for a 48 seat CAD installation (1998 through 2007).

Boeing 727-100C freighter re-conversion to new, unique “QC” configuration for UPS. Responsible for the design of the CHS and seat pallet “kit”. Lead Engineer – Interior reconfiguration of VH-3A from “presidential” to “fleet VIP” configuration.
