Open Text WWW Transformation Project. The site http://www.opentext.com is being migrated to the Web Experience Management Suite. I was involved in the development of the Portal grid , regions, layouts and the presentation templates.
Customer Self Service Portal: This portal is used by the OpenText customers to create tickets and view their contracts and accounts. This was developed using the Spring Portlet MVC framework. There was extensive use of the ExtJS framework.
The Web test cases were developed in Selenium.

As a Sr. Consultant, I was working in the Research Group of UBS. This group provides research information to the customers and financial advisors on a variety of platforms. It actively manages research information from the Swiss office. I have been involved in a variety of projects (Ratings Changes, Wealth Management Integration, Manage Restrictions etc). I am also involved in the rewrite of the CDA and the CMA application as the group is moving from Vignette/Tcl based Web Sites to a J2EE (MVC) architecture.

New York Life Insurance Company - Oct 2003 – Jun 2005
As a Technical Lead, I was involved in the Design, Development and Implementation of the Agency Portal project. It involved managing and developing the Content Management Application and the Presentation Layer. This had integration with external agencies e.g. CBS MarketWatch for financial data and Hitbox for tracking hits.
I was also involved in the Design and development of the Life & Annuity Marketing project.
In both the projects, I interacted extensively with the different groups involved in the implementation of this project. I was also involved in the setting up of both the applications on the native application “Tonic” to monitor the web applications.
I was also involved in the study and design of porting the Vignette V6 applications to a J2EE environment.

UBS PaineWebber - Jul 2001 – Aug 2001.
This project involved redesigning and converting the existing static public web site to Vignette’s Story Server. It involved development of a CMA to manage role-based data. It also included all the workflows therein. A CDA was developed to publish the data on the public Web site. It involved extensive caching strategy and interacting with external vendors for stock quotes data. I was involved in the design of the database and the storage strategy for integration with the pre-existing data warehouse.

The application allows individual Financial Advisors (FAs) the ability to create their own Internet web home pages as part of www.painewebber.com (but not linked directly from it).
The system consists of several components:
An administrative function allowing the Lincoln Harbor based business user the ability to control some of the content the individual FAs may select as the content of their home page.
A workflow component allowing the business user to define and modify workflow - with approvals that are necessary prior to the FA page going live.
The system will interact with the Paine Webber public web site.

• This system integrates the forecasting of sales based on past sales details.
• It involved the integration of all offices of BMS.

• As a Sr. System Analyst was involved in the design, construction and interfacing the system to the existing module.
• The system was used to maintain monthly contracts detailing the proposed nominations of gas shipments.
• The purpose of the nominations contract was to provide a tracking mechanism for proposed and actual deliveries of NJNG city gates by shippers and the imbalances involved therein.

• Kids “R” Us primarily advertised through booklets 10-12 times a year. Kids “R” Us increased the amount of advertising and experiments with changes in the lists used, number of booklets mailed, and the number and type of promotions included in the booklets every year.
• The system included computerizations of activities related to planning for the booklets, tracking the delivery of advertised merchandise, and evaluating the booklets’ success effectively.
• The system facilitated Kids “R” Us to increase market share, lower expenses, improve operations and result in the success of its advertising program.

Euro CPC was the customization effort of the CPC system for the East European Citibank branches.
CPC system offered a comprehensive set of products and services for clearing related transactions of bank customers.
EuroCPC was the front-end clearing application system for a backend banking system of Citibank worldwide. As an Analyst/ Programmer was involved in reengineering an existing system into an open product, having components like Anchored lookup and facilities for field enrichment.

Bar and Rod Product Process System
• This system comprised of around 450 programs and a database of 2 GB.
• The business system was implemented on an Oracle platform.
• The automation system for field level devices was developed using Base Star as the data manager and VAX C as programming language. Product Profile and Executive information system was an integral part of BRPPS.
Corporate database related interfaces were developed on the IBM ES-9000 using CSP, COBOL and DB2. As a Programmer/Analyst was involved in the design, Strategy formulation, development, implementation and maintenance of the system.
