Supervisor/Painter Experience

• Prepare girders for painting by using the SSPC (The Society for Protective Coatings) standards.

• Blast girders to correct surface profile, anchor point.

• Interpret blueprints/shop drawing to prepare girders for painting per DOT specs.

• Paints that were used for painting included zincs, epoxies, urethanes, waterborne and primers.

• Apply paint or coating using correct mills, for specific paint, by using wet mill gauge.

• Paint multi coat, two, and three coat system.

• Measure dried paint to make sure it is in the correct range of mills by using electronic mill gauge, if not, re-coated to correct mills.
