OBJECTIVE

To join a growth oriented organization where I can utilize my skills in sales, management, and Human Resources to benefit the company with high level performance and results.

EXPERIENCE

06/2006 – Present Diversified Sourcing Solutions Coral Springs, FL

Asst. Regional VP Manager

After identifying major obstacles in their sales training program, I devised a solution to increase revenue and team work among the South Florida branches. I mentored and monitored the sales teams to intensely penetrate the markets, training them to promote and sell our service to any existing and future clients by being precise and paying attention to detail. I implemented better organization and time management in and out of the office by presenting changes and positive mentoring techniques. Some of the improvements I developed were marketing programs that assisted the sales division in prospecting leads, along with sales incentive programs and sales strategies for both field and office employees that expanded the organization’s presence in the tri-county area. Within three months the branches were able to turn around an ailing P & L by increasing efficiency, reactivating accounts lost by previous management, and successfully acquiring new business by negotiating and tailoring services to clients’ needs. In addition to training, I was also responsible for collections, recruiting, payroll, formal presentations, inventory control, and retaining past and present customer base.

09/2000 - 07/2004 Tradesmen International Inc. Miami, FL

Regional Manger

I supervised branches in Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach Counties, responsible for recruiting office and field employees for all three branches, working both on the field and in the office. My duties included organizing daily sales and recruiting meetings, safety meetings, weekly one-on-ones, monthly and yearly office sales plans, field representatives, and managers. Operational tasks included handling administrative duties for each branch like payroll, cold calling, proposals, PEO service, budget planning, monthly P & L, legal, Workman’s Compensation litigation, unemployment hearings, advertising, marketing, collections, purchasing, inventory control, risk management training, and sales training. I was the first to develop and expand the company in a new direction by acquiring large contract bids with the State and County municipalities, subsequently allowing the company to acquire similar contracts in various cities in the US. I also developed a safety awareness training course and site evaluation that identified safety hazards on the field and in the office, resulting in their first injury-free office in company history. The safety program was a benefit not only to the company but was expanded to our customers as well. I provided them with highly skilled and trained employees, which resulted in increased productivity on the job sites. I was an active presence in all the affiliated organizations that support local business and employment. Within my first year, I developed a company newsletter which highlighted field and office employee’s achievements, showcased our clients and their current construction projects. The local newsletter was converted to a full color magazine which was distributed to 42 locations within the company and mailed to all clients in the data base.

3/1992 – 9/2000 Frito Lay Inc. (PEPSICO) Miami/Pompano, FL

Facility Operations Manager

As the facility manager with the largest distribution center in the Southeastern region, I was responsible for all necessary functions of operations which included inventory control, ordering product, shipping and scheduling delivery for the facility, hiring, payroll, shift scheduling, supplies, vendor displays, DOT compliance, maintenance for the vehicles, forklift certification, and training. I monitored anticipated sales daily (including any promotional and holiday sales) for a fleet of nearly sixty route trucks and supervised a diverse workforce while maintaining a high level of quality control for all finished goods. In 1994 and 1996 I earned the Herman Lay Award (also known as the Triple Crown Award) for Quality, Service, & Growth, and in 1997 I was the first facility manager to achieve a perfect OSHA score of 1000 for the Broward facility. I also assisted the VP of operations in developing continuous improvement and performance programs which were later transformed into a training video used in all sales and distribution centers nationally. The video (Finished Inventory Goods Expert) is a significant contribution to the growth of Frito Lay as they continue to use it as a key training tool for all new hires both in distribution centers and plant operations.
