The Project is called the I2I project that has various components like RTS tasks, on call support and second level level cases.
Currently involved in the RTS tasks that involve the complete SDLC in which the change requests for programs are analyzed, coded and tested before being released to production. The On call support involves monitoring the production jobs and taking action to correct the situation of any online abends occur. The 2nd level cases involve issues faced by customers while using the XPD2 mainframe system. These issues are then replicated in development and appropriate program or database changes are made as per the problem.
As a part of this project I have worked as a group leader and programmer. The scope of the project is to maintain the XPD2 system, an existing real-time Order Processing and Inventory Maintenance system on IBM 3090. It provides offshore support to carry out the work assigned by the customer in the form of change request.
