(II) I have passed my final year thesis Neighborhood in good position. We urgently need to address the issue of global warming and pollution. Pressure on the world’s finite natural resources continues to increase. The future for ours is governed by the development of the clean technologies for sustainable environmental management. As we are constantly thinking about the sustainable urban design from few years back and developed two approaches to achieve the goal. One group says “the ultimate solution to the sustainable urban design is high tech design” and the other group says “the solution to the problem is the retrieval to the tradition”. As the solution to the problem I am suggesting to combine the both approaches and find a way which is a hybrid of both of the approaches. The evolvement of architecture is not a sudden invention. It took us centuries to build like the way we are building today so that the rejection of the tradition is a fouls gold. The tradition evolves through the centuries of our ancestor work and gives solution to most of our problem and the technology enables us achieve those heights of progress which our ancestors can’t even imagine. “Form is not the aim of our work, but only the result” (Mies van da Rohe). As a result of modernist thoughts we start running after achieving forms that are most fascinated to human as a result we produce such architecture and life style which is not natural and as a result we are now on the verge of using all the natural resources that our earth could give us. Now we need to turn back from natural resources and think about the maximum use of renewable energy and also instead of producing architecture as fashion, should produce architecture which is locally sustainable and environment friendly. As my thesis project my aim is to give such a solution to the problem of sustainable design which has the local architectural feature and modern technology, which can easily adjust in our environment.
