Work Experience
Principal Staff Test Engineer, Motorola, Mexico, Oct 2003- Present
• Promoted from Test Engineer to Sr. Test, and recently to Sr. Staff.
• Core Team Member for Motorola Test Platform initiative, design and development.
• NPI Test Leader, working with a group of five Software and Hardware Test Engineers.
• New product introduction transfers from US-Mexico, Mexico-China, and Mexico-Thailand.
• Automated Test Equipment development successfully for new products such: Optical Switches, Optical Amplifiers, Optical Transmitters, Satellital Video Receivers, Multi Stream Cable card and others.
• Defined and developed a standard test platform for Motorola, MotoTest, which decreased the test software development and facilitated software sustaining activities.
Research Assistant Internship, Center for Intelligent Systems ITESM, July 2001- May 2003
• Implemented a Marsupial Architecture of mobile robots, including software development and system integration. Collaboration between different robots to solve an assigned task together was the main goal of the project.
• Supported software development for projects on Robotics and computer vision systems.
• Assistant of Robotics Research Lab, Center for Intelligent Systems, supporting some projects sponsored by CONACYT.
• Training acquired on artificial intelligence topics as fuzzy logic, neural networks, genetic algorithms, autonomous systems and data mining.
Design Engineer, Ingenieria Diseno y Software, Hermosillo Mexico, May 2000- Jun 2001
• Developed a cheap weight system card to replace conventional weight scales.
• Implemented some Poka Yoke Systems for Motor Company on final assembly line.
• Implemented a Vision System Station to detect screws absence on car front panel, for Carplastic Company. This project improved the quality and decreased the returns from the customer.
• Collaborated with CFE (main electrical energy provider in Mexico) in a project which included a radio-modem design and development (embedded software and hardware) to send/receive information from end users, to monitor the energy consumption and also was able cut-off or restore the electrical service remotely (wireless).
Electrical Engineer, Controles y Sistemas Avanzados, Hermosillo Mexico. October 1998- March 2001
• Software developed for an automated system to assembly the gasoline tank, Ford Motor Company. This project was an OEM hydraulic machine controlled by Allen Bradley PLC and helped to reduce cycle time and also to reduce injuries in operators/assemblers.
• Designed and developed diverse automated systems for OEM Machines using PLC Siemens and Square-D.
• Design of Microcontroller systems to interface with Weight Scales in order to automate the data acquisition on the food industry.
