Hands on experience for leading product development, support manufacturing and R&D. The experience includes supporting the sales and marketing team, customer visits, working cross functional teams and working at various global locations of same company.
Achievements:
• Defined and implemented SPC methods successfully in all group companies. Experience in Six sigma, KAIZAN, 5S, FMEA, control charts and Lean Manufacturing.
• Project leader to transfer several product lines from one country to another. Identified all the technology and equipment required and managed to acquire them.
• Reduce rejection from 6% to less than 1 %.
• Lead a lean manufacturing project for fuel consumption. Rationalized the fuel consumption at each work station and reduced the total fuel consumption by one third.
• Developed the new coating formulations. It reduced the entire manufacturing cost by 0.5 %.
• Defined the R&D requirements and created a R&D facility. Recruited and trained the entire team.
• Defined key features of key raw materials that made it easier to find substitutes.
• Developed a new test method for measurement of oxidation resistance of carbon base refractory that would reduce the test time from 3 months to less than 1 week.
• Developed a mathematical model that defined the material required for best formability as well as provide more flexibility to purchase team in term of material specs.
• Initiated a “Quality KPI”, to share the status of quality with all the team in a more transparent manner.
• Hands on experience of using various lab testing equipments including thermal expansion, TGA/DTA, Instron, SEM.
