Tank Craft: A simple game AI based on A* algorithm

• Environment: Windows XP, JDK1.6.

• Tools: MyEclipse8.0.

• Description: In this project, a visualized game program was developed based on Java Swing/AWT package. Two tank forces fight with each other for occupying goldmines in the map. The basic idea of the game AI is to find the shortest path between two positions using A* algorithm. Manhattan distance was used as the heuristic function while the cost of each step was well defined for different conditions.

• Used Java and weka library to test different algorithms and parameters on a dataset containing 334 variables and 86,691 instances for a binary classification task.

• Achieved a measuring accuracy of 90.78%, rank 2nd in the class.
