IT Project Manager
Managed multiple projects involving internal developers and outside vendors; Worked closely with Software Developers, UI Designers, Marketing, Internal Stakeholders, and Executives. Followed Sarbanes-Oxley regulations while implementing projects on-time and under budget. Conducted successful 2007 Sarbanes-Oxley audit of all ticketing procedures for Liquidation.com platforms, while working with key audit personnel (Grant Thornton/Ernst & Young). Established an automated quarterly review of GovernmentLiquidation.com data while working closely with internal software developers and external auditors (Moss-Adams). Key liaison with Government clients at DRMS (Defense Reutilization & Marketing Service) as well as overseas business contacts in UK and Germany. Designed and implemented QA testing procedure for Liquidation.com, consisting of test scripts, tester feedback, and bug-fixing phases. Tracked project progress using latest industry tools (MS Project 2007, Confluence). Gathered requirements for multiple website overhauls, including Govliquidation.com, Southerntextile.com, and Liquidation.com. IT Project Manager
Managed multiple IT projects for large commercial website. Worked with multiple internal and external resources to build, test and release new consumer areas of RoadRunner.com. Successfully designed and implemented “Road Runner Safe Storage” product, while working closely with vendor client SwapDrive/Symantec. Designed & implemented “RoadRunner PhotoShow” while working closely with staff at San Francisco-based vendor SimpleStar/Roxio; Developed “RoadRunner Photoshow TV” product with SimpleStar/Roxio. Coordinated and released “Google Search” panes for RoadRunner.com site-wide, increasing site revenue by $770,000 per year at that time (summer 2005). Coordinated timely and orderly release of products with data center personnel and internal executives. Conducted conference calls with internal staff, sometimes with more than 30 attendees. Maintained detailed notes of meeting developments and issued meeting recaps in a timely manner to all in attendance. Worked closely with executive staff in Stamford, CT, to design and implement RoadRunner mobile email product in cooperation with Sprint/Nextel. Software Engineer
Primary liaison between AOL and Microsoft regarding Internet Explorer browser issues. Hosted Microsoft development personnel for 2 training seminars in VA. Customized multiple Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers for overseas use (Germany, UK, France) according to specifications developed by international subsidiaries. Developed installer and uninstaller software (WISE, Windows Installer WMI, Nullsoft NSIS) for AOL products, working closely with other development team members and QA. Trained remote team members in India, Ireland, Mountain View, CA on AOL installer software.
2000 – 2003 AOL/ Time Warner; Dulles, VA
Associate Software Engineer
Created “Wal-Mart Connect” ISP service, resulting in $2.5 Million annual revenue for Wal-Mart in 2004. Worked closely with Gateway Computer to create a co-branded ISP service, resulting in $550,000 annual revenue for Gateway in 2004. Key contact for Microsoft Internet Explorer related issues at AOL, handled tickets and complaints from multiple sources and conducted conference calls to understand and correct any browser issues. Worked closely with Microsoft teams in Charlotte, NC and Redmond, WA. Produced weekly software development performance metrics and presented findings to executives.
1998- 2000 AOL Europe; Munich, Germany
Project Manager
Trained staff on AOL proprietary tools and processes. Key liaison between AOL Germany technical staff and AOL US staff. Made multiple trips to Hamburg, Germany, to design co-branded projects and enhancements. Worked with European call center staff in Dublin, Ireland and assisted in conducting a training seminar there. Attended training sessions in Virginia on new development tools, then subsequently trained staff in Germany.
